Queens Of The Stone Age
Formed in 1996 by vocalist/guitarist Josh Homme and bassist Nick Oliveri, Queens of the Stone Age rose from the ashes of Kyuss, the influential Palm Desert band that also spawned the careers of Fu Manchu, Unida, and Hermano. Queens of the Stone Age — or “the Queens,” as they’re sometimes called — built upon Kyuss’ stoner metal foundation, infusing their sound with a heavy dose of hard rock swagger and punk attitude. The result was a string of critically acclaimed albums that cemented the Queens’ reputation as one of the most exciting and unpredictable bands in rock.
The Queens will be performing at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco on Friday, October 6th, 2023. This will be their first performance in the Bay Area in over three years, and fans are eagerly anticipating what is sure to be an incredible show.
